About this blog: It’s to keep track of my masterpieces and mishaps in the kitchen, as I attempt to feed two kids and a husband. For my husband, I try to stay away from carbs and refined sugar to keep his blood sugar levels low. The kids I try to feed well-balanced meals, which can be hard on a tight budget (and depending on how picky they are that day).
About me in the kitchen: I am by no means a chef. I cook with what I have in the kitchen; my Google search history is full of “cooking substitutions for….” I rarely stick to a recipe. I add a little of this, a little of that. That’s where the best and worst dishes come from!
About my pictures: My pictures are not the best. They are for informational purposes only. The lighting is bad, their composition is lacking… I know this. I am a real mom in a real kitchen making real food. I’d rather you see how it really looks than some Pinterest-perfect picture that is unrealistic and unattainable.
